Ethical Policy

Pak Advances in Engineering Research (PAER) is a respected, peer-reviewed academic journal dedicated to publishing high-quality and innovative research across a wide range of engineering disciplines. PAER is committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity and ensuring that all research published is of the highest quality and integrity.

1. Research Involving Human and Animal Subjects

While PAER primarily focuses on engineering, any research that involves human or animal subjects must adhere to strict ethical standards.

1.1. Ethical Approval

Mandatory Approval: Authors must ensure that they have obtained ethical approval from the relevant institutional review boards (IRB) or ethics committees before the research began.

Informed Consent: Informed consent must be obtained from human participants where applicable.

Manuscript Statement: The manuscript must include a statement confirming that ethical approval was obtained and detailing the approving body.

2. Data Integrity and Research Malpractice

Authors must ensure that the data presented in their manuscript is accurate. Fabrication, falsification, or manipulation of data is strictly prohibited. PAER takes allegations of misconduct seriously and will investigate any form of research malpractice thoroughly.

3. Field Studies and Environmental Impact

For engineering research involving fieldwork or potential environmental impact, authors must confirm that all necessary permits and licenses were obtained from the relevant authorities and that the study complied with local and national environmental regulations.

4. Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses

Systematic reviews and meta-analyses must be registered in a publicly accessible database (e.g., PROSPERO) prior to commencing the review. Furthermore, the reporting of these studies must strictly follow the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines [1] to ensure transparency and completeness in the methodology and findings.

5. Authorship and Conflicts of Interest

PAER adheres to strict guidelines regarding authorship and conflicts of interest. All individuals who have made significant contributions must be listed as authors, and all authors must disclose any financial, personal, or professional conflicts of interest that may influence the research.
